What is a JMS Number and why is it important?
This is a unique identifier for that inmate’s particular “stay” while incarcerated. This is how he/she is tracked, gets mail, commissary, etc.

This is a criminal database identifier – it tracks a person’s criminal history within Hamilton County.
Other Counties have another form of identifier
