The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for the position of Corrections Officer. The beginning of a promising law enforcement career leading to Patrol Officer or Court Services Officer positions—UNLIMITED OPPORTUNITIES.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office has a great deal to offer new employees. A position with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is more than just a job -- it's a career. All officers begin their careers in the Corrections Division where they obtain valuable experience and communications skills. After a probation period, officers become eligible to train to become state of Ohio Certified Peace Officers, and may then apply for other positions within the Sheriff's Office such as Court Services Officer and Patrol Officer. 

Applications are also being accepted for data entry positions (must be able to work all three shifts).

Minimum Qualifications

Prospective candidates must have:

  • Completed high school or have GED equivalent (college preferred)

  • Reached 18 years of age by the time of appointment

  • Valid drivers license by the date of hire with the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office
