This section consists of deputies who maintain six support units within the section:
Firearms and Training Units average over 30,000 hours annually in training modules and State of Ohio approved Peace Officer Training Academies and maintains the department firearms program.
The Crime Prevention Unit contacts over 20,000 citizens annually providing seminars on business, residential, and personal security, as well as neighborhood watch programs, along with children related functions and D.A.R.E. programs in the schools, fingerprinting, and Safety City Programs.
Supply and Logistics and Vehicle Maintenance Units coordinate with all four divisions for greater efficiency and economy relative to supplies and vehicles.
Property Inventory and Control Unit processes over 50,000 items annually and maintains the chain of evidence for court cases.
The Support Services Section also administers the Special Deputy Program inclusive of four Special Deputy Units.
